Over 300,000 children worldwide develop cancer each year. If the disease is detected early enough, many of these children can be cured - 80% of children with cancer in the high income world survive. However, in low and middle income countries, survival rates can be as low as 10%, with many children dying without effective pain relief.
A reason for this inequality is that many children remain undiagnosed, or are diagnosed too late to be cured, due to a shortage of trained doctors and nurses in-country. All of the programs we fund directly benefit children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer, the families who support them, and the medical community who compassionately cares for them. These programs and services rely exclusively on philanthropic support.
Our aims is to elevate the mental, social, and emotional wellbeing of children with cancer undergoing cancer treatment.
